1. | Hen, al dha eyth aad mid ein spiekish and ein spieking | Now the whole earth was of one language and one speech |
2. | And dhee aadhd, when dhuen feed from dha iest, dhe dhuen fainded ei flatland in Shinar, and dhuen dweld dhee. | And it came to pass as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in Shinar; and they dwelt there. |
3. | And dhuen spiekd iec tu eiydher, “Footh, meik-wie brikicg and beyn dhuen thruelij.” And dhuen havd brikicg fey stan, and myd fey brikbond. | And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. |
4. | And dhuen spiekd, “Footh, bild-wie ei stadag and ei taur, whats upsted rieci tu heven; and meik-wie fey wie ei neim ahap wie aari striewd abrood ouver dha sikt al dha eyths. | And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. |
5. | And Dha LOOD kumd anedh fey tu sie dha stadag and dha taur, what mens beenen bilded. | And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. |
6. | And Dha LOOD spieked, “Sie, dha men aa az ein, and dhuen hav al ein spiekish; and en hat dhuen tudue: and hen niet will aa holded hind from dhuen en what dhuen hav thinkd tu due. | And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. |
7. | Footh, gan-wie anedh, and dhee miks dhuens spiekish yp, dhe dhuen nij bewiti iec eiydhers spiek. | Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. |
8. | Dhau Dha LOOD strued dhuen abrood from dhee ouver al dha eyths sikt; and dhuen holted bilding dha stadag. | So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth; and they left off to build the city. |
9. | Dhai it neims Babel; hai dhee Dha LOOD miksd dha spiekish al dha eyths yp: and from dhee Dha LOOD strued dhuen abrood ouver dha sikt al dha eyths. | Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth; and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. |
